Reaching People. Transforming Lives. Making Jesus Famous.
Marriage Matters exists to help married and engaged couples build Christ-centered relationships that thrive for a lifetime. We believe strong marriages strengthen families, bless the church, and shine the light of Jesus in our city.
We build a year-round pathway around three rhythms so you can connect, grow, and keep moving forward—together.
1) Couple Connect Groups (Monthly)
Small groups of couples meet regularly for friendship, faith, and real conversations that strengthen marriage.
What it looks like:
When: Most groups meet on First Fridays.
Size & Commitment: 4–6 couples commit to meet monthly for one year.
Rotating Hosts: Hosting rotates; the host opens their home, offers simple refreshments (optional), chooses a topic, and facilitates.
Simple Format (2 hours):
- Hour 1 – Connection: share food, play a game, relax and catch up.
- Hour 2 – Couple Talk: guided discussion and prayer around a timely marriage theme.
Group Guidelines: confidentiality, grace, encouragement, and authenticity—real talk that leads to real growth.
Spiritual Anchor: “Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds… encouraging one another.” (Hebrews 10:24–25)
Sample Topics
Foundations of friendship, communication that connects, conflict and forgiveness, parenting without losing each other, intimacy (emotional/physical/spiritual), money and priorities, caring for aging parents, growing spiritually together, navigating life transitions, fun and shared adventure, legacy, and year-end reflection.
2) Marriage Matters Gatherings (Quarterly)
Once a quarter, we come together as a larger community for an evening of worship, practical teaching, testimonies, and a date-night vibe. You’ll leave encouraged, equipped, and connected with other couples pursuing Jesus together.
3) Annual Marriage Conference
Once a year, we encourage you to participate in the Marriage Matters Conference to strengthen your marriage with fresh vision and practical tools. Expect dynamic teaching, table talks, and mini sessions designed to create oneness and unity for a marriage that lasts a lifetime.
