We've stated our mission is to help as many people as possible become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

" A Disciple"! A disciple can be defined in this way based on Matthew 4:19-20 " A disciple is someone following Jesus, being transformed by Jesus and leading others to do the same.

The reality is that many faithful Christians do not have a framework of disciple making. In fact, when asked for a biblical picture of what a disciple does, there is often a pause.

It is with the goal of seeing the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) lived out in our lives of our people we have adopted a simple framework or pathway help in the process of identifying and encouraging a culture of disciple making at HEC.

We've framed this process or disciple making pathway into a strategy we call the 5G Disciple Making Pathway.

5G DISCIPLE MAKING PATHWAY

GOSPEL
We believe that Jesus died for sinners. Jesus died in our place, to pay the debt owed by us, He was buried, then rose again on the third day, according to the Scriptures. Jesus taught that who so ever would place their faith in Him would have eternal life. This is the good news of the Gospel! (1 Cor 15:3-6, John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9)

GATHER
We believe, as part of following Jesus, we are called to gather together, in person, being actively, intimately involved in a local church body. (Acts 2:42-47; Heb 10:24-25)

GROW
We believe that we are also called to grow, both in the grace and knowledge of Jesus, being in the Word of God regularly, even daily! and allowing His Word to transform our lives, our plans, our purposes, our passions, and priorities. (1 Peter 2:2-3, 2 Pet 3:18, Romans 12:1-2)

GIVE
We believe as we grow spiritually, a natural outflow of that will be to give. Financially, of our time, our talents, our abilities, our resources. We give because God gave. Our God is a giving and gracious God, and as His children, He expects us to reflect His image. in the same way that Jesus is the radiance of the glory of God, the express image of the Father, Jesus led a giving lifestyle, and expects the same from His followers. (John 3:16; Acts 4:32-35, 2 Cor. 8 & 9)

GO
We believe that another natural outflow of growing in the Lord is missions. We see the 'Great Commission' of Matthew 29:18-20 as applicable to us today; that we are called to go and make disciples of all nations, whether that be next door, in our own communities, or in other foreign nations. We are called to go, and to support other who go. (Mat. 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16, John 17:18, Acts 1:8)
